Metrics and Goals

Brenda Renewables Ltd is currently building its first Class A compost facility on the old Brenda Mine site, 25 kilometres west of Peachland, BC. It will operate the compost and biofuels facility that will eventually produce renewable natural gas (RNG) comprised of locally sourced organic waste. The entire system is designed to ensure there will be no offsite odour, noise or liquid discharge emissions.

The facility will benefit the entire Okanagan Valley by providing a local, long term, reliable organic processing service. Surrounding communities will also be able to use the locally-generated RNG which will offset their carbon footprint.

At Brenda Renewables, we're committed to reducing waste and helping the environment. Once fully operational, our organic waste diversion and conversion services can process up to 410 tonnes per day or 2,900 tonnes per week, diverting it from the landfill and converting it into valuable resources.

Reduce, reuse, reforest

By diverting organic waste from landfills and utilizing anaerobic digestion, we're able to produce biogas that's used to create renewable natural gas. Our cutting-edge technology upgrades the biogas, which contains approximately 60% methane and 40% carbon dioxide, and then injects it into a local utilities pipeline.
