Our neighbourhood runs on ​clean energy

Brenda Renewables is an anaerobic digestion facility proposed for the former Brenda Mines site near Peachland, BC. The system will process local municipal organic waste, yard waste, and bio-solids to produce renewable natural gas and high-nutrient compost.

Brenda Renewables helps BC fight climate change. The province has a target of 0.75 Mt/year reduction in greenhouse gases (GHGs)from renewable energy projects. Each year, Brenda Renewables will reduce GHG emissions up to 0.054 Mt (54,000 tonnes), approximately 7% of BC's goal!
